Ferozsons organizes Liver Summit 2016

Ferozsons organized the sixth annual Liver Summit 2016 with support from Gilead Sciences, Inc. in partnership with International Association for the Study of the Liver (IASL). Established in 1958, IASL is the oldest professional association of clinicians and scientists dedicated to translating liver research into clinical practice through national, regional, and international educational activities.

Gilead and Ferozsons to organize the sixth annual session for Pakistani clinicians who benefit from the latest the latest scientific and evidence-based research studies shared by leading international experts. In the last six years, the Annual Liver Summit has become the largest gathering for key hepatologists and liver experts to come together and discuss new methods of treatment and scientific breakthroughs which will help in improved care for patients suffering from liver diseases.

This year, the focus apart from Hepatitis B, C and Cancer, remained on Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) with additional discussions around Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. The speakers participated primarily from leading institutes in both USA and Pakistan.
